Our take on travel insurance for the Meridian Visa Infinite Travel Rewards
The Meridian Visa Infinite Travel Rewards card carries one of the stronger travel suites among Canadian credit-union cards: emergency medical up to $5,000,000 per insured per trip, $1,000,000 common-carrier travel accident, trip cancellation and interruption/delay, and both delayed and lost/damaged baggage. The headline risk is the age-tiered medical duration — coverage drops from 48 days (age 59 and under) to just 15 days for ages 65–75, and there is no medical coverage at all for anyone 76 or older. Cancellation and baggage limits ($2,000 and $500/$1,000) are modest, so this is best treated as a medical-first travel card.
- Emergency medical up to $5,000,000 per insured per trip
- Common-carrier travel accident up to $1,000,000

- Trip cancellation capped at only $2,000 per insured

Every score is derived from official bank documents: terms and conditions, benefit guides, and claim procedures. No commercial relationship influences our ratings.
