Welcome to HelloSafe. These terms and conditions of use (the "Terms") govern your browsing of the site and your use of our travel insurance comparison and brokerage services. By accessing the site, you accept them without reservation. If they do not suit you, we simply invite you not to use the site.
Article 1

Article 2
Purpose of the Site and nature of the services
HelloSafe provides a free comparison service for travel insurance policies and, where applicable, a brokerage service allowing you to take out certain policies directly from the Site.
In practice, the Site lets you compare the cover, limits, deductibles and prices of travel insurance policies offered by partner insurers and brokers, obtain a personalised quote based on your profile and your trip, and subscribe online with the partner of your choice.
Using the comparison tool is entirely free for the user. HelloSafe is remunerated by its partner insurers in the form of commissions when a policy is taken out through it. This remuneration has no impact on the price you pay: you get the same rate as if you subscribed directly with the insurer.
Article 3
Scope of the comparison
HelloSafe works with a panel of selected partner insurers and does not claim to cover the entire travel insurance market. The list of referenced partners is available on request at the contact address given in Article 1.
Comparisons are based on the information provided by partner insurers (general terms and conditions, information notices, IPID documents) and are updated regularly. They are provided for information purposes only: only the general and specific terms of the policy you take out have contractual value. Before subscribing, we recommend that you read carefully the contractual documentation provided by the insurer.
Article 4
HelloSafe's role in the subscription process
When you take out a policy via the Site, HelloSafe acts as an intermediary between you and the insurer. The insurance contract is concluded directly between you and the insurance company concerned, which remains solely responsible for delivering the cover, managing the policy and settling claims.
HelloSafe is neither the insurer nor the claims handler. In the event of a claim, you must contact your insurer directly in accordance with the procedures set out in your policy. Our teams nevertheless remain available to guide you through the process.
The recommendations published on the Site are based on our experts' comparative analysis of the policies available on the market. They provide general guidance and do not replace an assessment of your personal situation. It is up to you to check that the policy you are considering matches your needs, in particular with regard to your destination, the length of your trip, your state of health and your planned activities.
Article 5
Access to the Site
The Site is accessible free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to interruptions required for maintenance, possible outages and cases of force majeure. HelloSafe cannot be held liable for any temporary unavailability of the Site or its consequences.
Accessing the Site requires computer equipment and an internet connection, the costs of which remain your responsibility.
Article 6
User obligations
By using the Site, you undertake to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information with any quote request or subscription. Inaccurate or incomplete statements may render the insurance contract void or reduce the compensation paid, in accordance with articles L.113-8 and L.113-9 of the French Insurance Code.
You also undertake not to disrupt the operation of the Site, not to attempt to access data not intended for you, not to extract or reuse a substantial part of the content of the Site's databases, and not to use the Site for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
Article 7
Intellectual property
All elements of the Site (texts, comparisons, tables, graphics, logos, trademarks, structure, databases) are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of HELLO SAFE or its partners. Any reproduction, representation, modification or use, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited and constitutes infringement within the meaning of articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Short quotations with credit to the source and a link to the original page are permitted, in particular for journalistic purposes.
Article 8
Liability
HelloSafe makes every effort to ensure that the information published on the Site is accurate and up to date. However, the prices, cover and conditions displayed may change at the initiative of partner insurers between two updates. Only the quote issued at the time of your request, and then the insurer's contractual documentation, are authoritative.
HelloSafe cannot be held liable for decisions taken by partner insurers (acceptance or refusal of subscription, pricing, claims handling, termination), for damage resulting from inaccurate information you may have provided, or for indirect damage linked to the use of the Site.
Article 9
Personal data
HELLO SAFE processes your personal data as a data controller, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. The data collected via the quote forms is necessary to build your personalised comparison and, where applicable, to forward your request to the insurer you have chosen.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, which you can exercise by writing to dpo@hellosafe.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr). Details of the processing carried out, retention periods and recipients can be found in our Privacy Policy, accessible from the Site's footer.
Article 10
Cookies
The Site uses cookies and trackers to ensure it works properly, measure its audience and, subject to your consent, personalise content and advertising. You can adjust your choices at any time via the cookie management module accessible from the Site. To find out more, see our Cookie Policy.
Article 11
Hyperlinks
The Site contains links to the websites of our partner insurers and to third-party sites. HelloSafe has no control over these sites and accepts no liability for their content, practices or terms of use. Linking to the Site is permitted provided the link does not damage HelloSafe's image.
Article 12
Complaints and mediation
For any complaint about HelloSafe's services, you can write to hellotravel@hellosafe.com or by post to the registered office: HELLO SAFE, 5 allée de la Grande Treille, 35200 Rennes, France. We acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 10 working days and respond within a maximum of 2 months.
If you are not satisfied with the response, you can refer the matter free of charge to the French Insurance Ombudsman: La Médiation de l'Assurance, Pôle CSCA, TSA 50110, 75441 Paris Cedex 09, France, or online at www.mediation-assurance.org. Complaints relating to the performance of your insurance contract (claims, compensation) should first be addressed to your insurer's complaints department, whose contact details appear in your policy terms.
You can also use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Article 13
Changes to these Terms
HelloSafe may amend these Terms at any time, in particular to adapt them to legal, regulatory or functional changes to the Site. The applicable version is the one online on the date you use the Site. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
Article 14
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing amicable resolution or mediation, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings, at your choice, before the courts of the place where you live or those of HELLO SAFE's registered office.
If any provision of these Terms is declared void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain fully valid.
